What this cable does

The ESTONE PQ106 is a USB C male-to-female extension cable sold as a two-pack. Each cable measures ten feet and carries USB 3.2 data at up to 10Gbps. It delivers up to 100W of power for fast charging and passes 4K video at 3840x2160 resolution. The connectors are USB Type C only and will not fit USB-A or USB Mini B ports.

The spec that decides fit

Your host and display must both support USB-C video output and input for the 4K signal to work. The cable handles 10Gbps data transfer and 100W charging, but the connected charger and device must also support those rates. It is incompatible with any USB-A or USB Mini B connection.

Heat noise and power in use

The cable is passive and adds no active cooling or fan noise. Power draw depends entirely on the attached charger and device, with a maximum supported delivery of 100W at 20V/5A. The braided nylon jacket and reinforced core are rated for over 20000 bends for long-term durability.

Questions about this item

What does the 10Gbps rating mean for real-world file transfers?

The cable supports USB 3.2 data rates up to 10Gbps, so large files such as 5GB video clips can move across the link in roughly five seconds when both host and device also run at that speed.

How does the USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface limit charging and video?

The connection caps power delivery at 100W (20V/5A) and carries 4K video at 3840×2160, but only if the charger, laptop and monitor all support those same USB 3.1 Gen 2 capabilities.

What physical clearance does the 10FT braided cable need for routing?

At three metres long with a nylon-braided jacket rated for 20000+ bends, the cable needs enough slack to avoid sharp kinks behind desks or along baseboards while the male and female Type-C ends plug straight in.
