Dual-monitor 4-in 2-out KVM

The ESTONE SW245-1DP1HD KVM switch lets one keyboard, mouse and two displays control four computers. It accepts HDMI and DisplayPort inputs from each system and drives two monitors simultaneously. USB 3.0 ports share peripherals such as printers or scanners across all connected PCs. The unit is aimed at multi-system workstations and home offices needing tidy, instantaneous switching.

Replaces separate video and USB switchers

A single box replaces independent HDMI, DisplayPort and USB switch boxes, cutting cable clutter and eliminating the need to reach behind monitors. The jump is worthwhile when you run four computers daily and want synchronous switching of both displays with zero software installation. Push-button, IR remote and auto-scan at three-second intervals give instant or hands-free changeover.

Check your graphics and cables first

Each computer must support dual-display output to use both monitor ports; extended or mirrored modes depend on the host GPU. For 8K at 60 Hz you need 8K-capable sources, monitors and Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 cables. The switch includes four USB 3.0 A-to-A cables and a 12 V 1 A power adapter; verify your monitors have compatible HDMI or DisplayPort inputs.

Questions about this item

How much desk space does the 5.43 x 5.35 x 1.46 inch unit need?

The switch measures 5.43 by 5.35 by 1.46 inches and weighs 9.52 ounces, so it fits on a small desk shelf or monitor stand.

Which cables must be plugged in first to avoid a blank screen on the 8K@60Hz link?

Connect the 12V 1A power adapter before any video cables; then attach the four USB 3.0 A-to-A cables and the HDMI or DisplayPort leads so the EDID handshake completes.

What wears out first on the IR remote that ships without batteries?

The remote uses a standard coin cell; replace it when the LED indicator on the switch no longer responds to button presses.
