65 ft Toslink cable for home theatre

This 65 ft Toslink Digital Optical Audio Cable connects Blu-ray players, game consoles, satellite DVRs, computers and other S/PDIF-equipped devices to AV receivers. Male-to-Male 24K gold-plated connectors and a double braided nylon jacket protect the fiber core and resist corrosion over long runs.

Upgrade from thin plastic optical leads

The heavy-duty alloy shell and concentrated fiber lens reduce internal beam reflection so multi-channel Dolby AC-3 and DTS signals up to 7.1 remain lossless across the full length. Installers who previously saw drop-outs on standard cables at distance will notice stable lock on surround streams.

Simple push-fit install, watch the bend radius

Connectors snap into square S/PDIF ports with a pop-up alignment feature that seats the fiber tip precisely. The 5.0 mm outer jacket tolerates routing behind cabinets but sharp kinks can fracture the core; allow a gentle curve and avoid crushing the cable under heavy furniture.

Questions about this item

How much clearance does the 5.0 mm outer jacket need behind my AV rack?

The cable's outer diameter reaches 5.0 mm, so allow at least that much space behind the rack for a gentle bend radius.

Which way round do the gold-plated male Toslink plugs go, and what clicks?

Each plug is keyed; insert it until the square collar seats fully and you feel a light click — forcing it the wrong way damages the lens.

Will the 24 k gold-plated connectors need cleaning or replacement over time?

Gold resists tarnish, so the connectors themselves need no maintenance; only wipe the fibre tips with a dry lint-free swab if dust blocks the light path.
