Cable purpose and audience

The ESTONE USB4 cable connects two USB-C devices with a male-to-male link rated for 40Gbps data and 240W power delivery. It suits professionals moving large media libraries or driving high-resolution displays from a single port.

Who it suits and who should look elsewhere

Builders needing Thunderbolt 3 or 4 bandwidth for external GPUs, docks or 8K monitors will find the 40Gbps ceiling matches spec. Buyers who want longer reach than the fixed length or require angled connectors for tight chassis should look elsewhere.

Build integration and freedoms

The cable carries 48V at 5A under PD 3.1, so a compatible charger can power a laptop while the same link drives an 8K@60Hz screen or dual 4K@60Hz panels. Backward compatibility with USB 3.2, 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0 lets it slot into existing USB-C gear without adapters.

Questions about this item

Do I need a USB-C port that supports Thunderbolt 3 or 4 on my laptop to get the 40Gbps speed?

Yes, both the host and the peripheral must support 40Gbps USB4 or Thunderbolt 3/4; the cable itself is rated for that speed.

Will this cable still charge at 240W if I plug it into an older USB 3.2 port?

No, 240W (48V/5A) requires a USB PD 3.1 source; older ports negotiate lower power.

How can I confirm the cable is delivering 40Gbps after I connect my SSD?

Run a large file transfer and check the sustained read/write speed in your OS; it should approach the 40Gbps rating.
