Apple HomeKit Secure Video floodlight camera

The Eve Outdoor Cam is a floodlight camera built exclusively for Apple HomeKit Secure Video. It delivers 1080p video at 24 fps with a 157° field of view and night vision. The device connects via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi using IEEE 802.11b/g/n standards. It requires an iPhone or iPad running the latest iOS or iPadOS, a HomePod or Apple TV 4th generation or later as a home hub, and a 50 GB iCloud+ storage plan or higher.

2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only connectivity

This camera operates solely on a 2.4 GHz wireless network using the IEEE 802.11b/g/n standard. It does not support 5 GHz bands. A compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network is the single specification that determines whether this camera will function in your installation. Buyers with 5 GHz-only networks cannot use this product.

End-to-end encryption and local intelligence

Video is encrypted end-to-end and processed locally on the home hub without an Eve cloud, registration, or tracking. The package includes a 10-day recording history that distinguishes between people, pets, vehicles, and packages. The integrated motion sensor can automate other HomeKit accessories. The dimmable floodlight offers light boost functionality.

Questions about this item

What does the 1080p 24fps resolution mean for everyday monitoring?

It captures Full HD video at 24 frames per second, giving clear 1920 x 1080 footage smooth enough to identify people, pets or packages in the 157° field of view.

How does the 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n wireless link affect placement?

The camera connects on the 2.4 GHz band only, so it reaches farther through walls than 5 GHz but tops out at the speeds of the older b/g/n standard.

What mounting hardware or surface does the floodlight camera need?

It is built for outdoor wall or eave mounting and requires a standard junction box or solid surface to secure the base and route power wiring.
