4G Cellular Trail Camera

The EVGA XG-35 is a 4G cellular trail camera designed for remote monitoring where WiFi is unavailable. It operates exclusively through a built-in, non-replaceable SIM card that requires a 4G data subscription. The unit captures 1296p MP4 video and offers APP-controlled 200° horizontal rotation with manual 90° vertical adjustment. It suits wildlife observation, farms, and off-grid properties.

Thermals, noise and power

A 9600mAh battery powers the camera alongside a dual solar charging system comprising an integrated 1.5W panel and a separate 4W panel. This arrangement charges the unit without disassembly for extended runtime in outdoor conditions. The camouflage housing keeps the device inconspicuous during operation. No standalone lithium batteries are included with the product.

Sustained load behaviour

Continuous 4G transmission and motion-activated recording draw on the battery and solar input during prolonged deployments. Cloud storage requires a subscription after a 7-day trial, while local TF card recording remains subscription-free. The fixed SIM prevents carrier changes if signal quality degrades over time. Buyers needing WiFi connectivity or a removable SIM card should consider other solutions.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the built-in 4G SIM and what step do people miss?

Download the Ucon App, power on the camera, and subscribe to the 19.9 monthly 4G plan within the app; the step often missed is completing that subscription before expecting live view.

What will need replacement or maintenance after months outdoors?

The 9600mAh battery is sealed and the SIM is non-replaceable, so the only user-serviceable part is the optional TF card for local recording; solar panels keep the battery topped up.

What limits continuous operation first — battery, storage, or data?

The 1.5W integrated solar panel plus the separate 4W panel recharge the 9600mAh battery, so storage fills first; a TF card (sold separately) stops recording when full unless overwritten.
