Questions about this item

Do I need to provide my own monitor, keyboard, and mouse to use this 2-port KVM switch?

Yes, the switch shares one HDMI monitor, one keyboard, and one mouse between two computers; you must supply those peripherals yourself.

Will the switch pass 4K 60 Hz video from a newer PC while I keep an older 1080p source connected to the other port?

Each port handles its own signal; the switch supports up to 4K 60 Hz on one port and 1080p or lower on the other simultaneously.

How can I confirm the correct computer is active after I press the switch button?

The front-panel LED lights green or blue to show which of the two ports is currently selected.
