Lets two computers share four USB 3.0 devices with one-button switching and LED status indication
This Explus-C USB 3.0 KVM switch lets two computers share four USB peripherals such as keyboards, mice, printers, scanners, flash drives or cameras. It is aimed at users who split time between a work machine and a personal machine and want a single set of devices on the desk. The unit operates without driver installation across Windows, macOS, Linux and Chrome OS.
Four USB 3.0 ports provide up to 5 Gbps theoretical bandwidth and remain backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices. Switching is performed by a physical button with LED status indication, and the supplier notes that the switch only functions when used with the supplied USB A-to-A cables.
The switch comfortably handles typical desktop peripherals and high-speed storage such as portable hard drives or USB flash drives. Bandwidth is shared across the active ports, so simultaneous heavy transfers on multiple devices will reduce per-device throughput. It does not support video switching or more than two host computers.
