A USB 3.0 switch lets two computers share two peripherals with one-button switching and 5Gbps data transfer
This Explus-C USB 3.0 switch lets two computers share up to two USB peripherals such as keyboards, mice, printers or webcams. A single button toggles the active PC and LED indicators show the current selection. The unit is driver-free on Windows, macOS, Chrome OS and Linux. It does not carry video signals and is not a KVM switch with monitor support.
The switch contains no fans or active cooling, so it adds no audible noise to the desk. Power is drawn from the attached computers through the USB 3.0 links, eliminating the need for an external adapter. Data paths are backward compatible with USB 2.0 and support up to 5 Gbps transfer rates.
During extended copy operations between the two connected PCs the link maintains the USB 3.0 signalling rate without thermal throttling. The passive circuitry does not accumulate heat that would reduce throughput. Each computer retains full access to both downstream ports whenever it is selected.

Plug each cable into a USB 3.0 port on a computer and the matching upstream port on the switch, then connect your keyboard and mouse to the two downstream ports; press the button to toggle control.
The button and LED are solid-state components rated for thousands of cycles and are not user-serviceable; no periodic replacement is expected under normal use.
The single 5 Gbps upstream link is shared, so sustained simultaneous transfers from both PCs will saturate the bus first, reducing each stream to roughly half the peak rate.
