Module identity

The Extreme Networks 10060H is a small form-factor pluggable module built for 1000Base-LX fibre links. Network engineers and system integrators use it to add a single long-wavelength Gigabit Ethernet port to compatible switches or routers.

Build integration

The module slides into any standard SFP cage and connects through a duplex LC connector. It draws power directly from the host port, so no external supply or cabling is required beyond the fibre patch cord.

Sustained operation

Rated for continuous 1000 Mbps throughput, the transceiver maintains stable optical output during extended traffic loads. The industrial-grade design supports reliable operation in always-on server and data-centre environments.

Questions about this item

What distance limit appears first when the 1000Base-LX link runs continuously?

The 1000Base-LX standard supports up to 5 km over single-mode fibre; attenuation on the fibre run is the first practical limit.

How much heat or noise does the 10060H module add during all-day operation?

The SFP module has no fan and draws little power, so it adds negligible heat and is completely silent.

Which port type must the switch or router already have for this LC module to work?

An SFP cage that accepts LC duplex connectors is required on the host equipment.
