24-port 90W PoE edge switch

The Extreme Networks 5420M-24W-4YE is a managed universal edge switch with 24 10/100/1000BASE-T ports delivering up to 90W per port under IEEE 802.3bt. It targets enterprise networks that need high-density power for wireless access points, cameras and IoT endpoints without extra electrical cabling. Dual-persona OS lets you choose Switch Engine or Fabric Engine at boot.

Modular uplinks and stacking ports

Four unpopulated 1/10/25Gb SFP28 uplinks and two SFP-DD stacking ports provide flexible fibre or copper uplinks and high-speed stacking for up to eight units. All primary ports and uplinks are MACsec-capable for link-layer encryption. The switch ships without a power supply, so a compatible unit must be sourced separately for operation.

90W per port PoE budget

Each of the 24 twisted-pair ports can supply 30W, 60W or 90W, supporting the most demanding powered edge devices. Aggregated switching bandwidth reaches 208Gbps with a forwarding rate of 154.8Mpps. Builds needing more than 24 powered ports or higher aggregate bandwidth will require additional switches.
