8-Channel PentaBrid DVR

The Eyemax MAGIC TVST-PVT8-8M08 is an 8-channel PentaBrid 4K digital video recorder designed for security installations. It accepts TVI, CVI, AHD, IP and analog cameras simultaneously. The unit is NDAA compliant for regulated projects. H.264 and H.265 compression reduces storage requirements while preserving detail.

Installers needing mixed camera support

This recorder suits sites that combine existing coaxial cameras with new IP devices across eight channels. It provides 8-channel audio input and one audio output for evidence-grade sound recording. RS-485 control handles PTZ units. Buyers requiring more than eight IP channels or redundant power inputs should consider other platforms.

8 TB SATA storage limit

A single SATA port accepts one drive up to 8 TB, defining the maximum local retention capacity. Recording schedules support holiday exceptions in 10-minute increments. Motion detection divides the image into 576 configurable zones. Covert, disable and privacy masking functions are available per camera.

Questions about this item

How do I install the TVST-PVT8-8M08 and what step is often missed?

Connect up to eight cameras over coax or IP, fit a SATA drive up to 8TB, then enable the weekly scheduler with holiday by 10 minutes setting so recordings follow your calendar.

What maintenance or replacement will the TVST-PVT8-8M08 need later?

The SATA hard drive is the only consumable; plan to swap it once the 8TB capacity fills or after the drive's rated service life ends.

What limit appears first on the TVST-PVT8-8M08 during sustained recording?

The single SATA port caps total storage at 8TB, so continuous H.264/H.265 streams will hit that ceiling before any channel or processing limit.
