16-channel 5 MP DVR for mixed analogue cameras

The Eyemax Prestige TVST PVT recorder accepts sixteen channels of TVI, AHD, CVI or 960H sources in any combination. H.265 compression reduces storage demand while a 6 TB drive is fitted from the factory. The unit targets installers who need a single recorder for legacy and newer analogue cameras.

H.265 compression and analogue bandwidth limits

H.265 encoding lowers bit-rates compared with older codecs, yet total throughput is still bounded by the analogue front-end and the 16-channel count. Each channel can be tuned individually for resolution, frame rate and quality, but the combined write load cannot exceed the recorder’s internal bus. The 6 TB capacity sets a hard ceiling on retention time at higher settings.

Check camera types, cabling

Verify that every camera you intend to connect uses TVI, AHD, CVI or 960H signalling; other formats are not supported. The recorder provides one HDMI and one VGA output for the main display plus a programmable composite spot monitor. PTZ control relies on RS-485 wiring, and network features require a wired Ethernet link to the router.
