Facmogu AL-1230 12V 3A power adapter
The Facmogu AL-1230 is a 12V 3A AC-to-DC desktop adapter rated at 36W. It accepts 100-240V input at 50/60Hz via a NEMA 5-15P plug and supplies regulated 12V DC output. The unit includes a 3m total cable length and fits both 5.5x2.1mm and 5.5x2.5mm barrel connectors with centre-positive polarity. It is intended for indoor use with compatible low-power devices such as cameras.
Sustained-load behaviour and protection
Built-in protection circuits guard against over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature conditions during continuous operation. The adapter requires placement on a hard, flat surface with clearance for heat dissipation; soft surfaces such as beds or carpets must be avoided to prevent overheating. Output is limited to 3A maximum, so connected equipment must not exceed this draw or the unit will not function properly.
Upgrade context and limits
This adapter replaces a lost or damaged 12V supply rated at or below 36W where the original used a 5.5mm barrel jack. It is not suitable for devices requiring more than 3A or higher wattage, nor for outdoor or high-power applications. Buyers needing greater current or voltage should select a model with a higher rated output.

Questions about this item
Does the 36 W adapter run hot when powering a camera all day?
The unit is rated for continuous 12 V 3 A output with built-in over-temperature protection; keep it on a hard flat surface with clearance and avoid beds or carpets so heat can dissipate.
What must my device already have to use the 5.5 × 2.1 mm or 5.5 × 2.5 mm barrel plug?
Your equipment needs a centre-positive DC barrel jack that accepts either 5.5 mm × 2.1 mm or 5.5 mm × 2.5 mm plugs and operates at 12 V with a current draw of 3 A or less.
Will this supply work with older 12 V gear that only draws 1 A?
Yes — the adapter delivers up to 3 A but will only supply the current your legacy device actually draws, provided it uses a compatible 5.5 mm barrel connector with centre-positive polarity.
