Product identity

The FastCap LLC DUALLY 2.5 SINGLE WH Safe is a dual-sided plastic grommet designed for 2.5 inch openings. It provides a finished pass-through for wires or cables in automotive and general hardware applications.

Build fit

The grommet includes both male and female ends that snap together around the panel. A 2.25 inch inner diameter clears standard cable bundles while the 2.5 inch stem fits the cut-out. White plastic construction resists corrosion in interior or protected exterior locations.

Buyer fit

Installers needing a clean, tool-free grommet for a 2.5 inch hole will find this part convenient. Buyers who require a locking mechanism, fire rating or larger pass-through diameter should look at alternative safe or grommet types.

Questions about this item

How wide a hole can the 2.5 inch stem of this grommet cover?

The stem OD is 2.5 in, so it fits a hole up to 2.5 in diameter.

Does the plastic body of the DUALLY 2.5 get hot when cables run through it continuously?

The grommet is a passive plastic fitting; it generates no heat of its own.

What size opening must the panel already have for the 2.25 inch ID to seat properly?

The panel needs a hole up to 2.5 in; the grommet's 2.25 in ID then protects the cables passing through.
