Adds an M-key NVMe SSD to a PCIe 3.0 x16, x8 or x4 slot, includes a 90×32 mm heatsink
The Fervit adapter lets you install an M-Key NVMe SSD into a PCIe 3.0 x16, x8 or x4 slot. It targets builders upgrading a 1U or 2U server or a low-profile PC where M.2 sockets are missing. SATA-based M.2 drives are not supported, so only NVMe modules will work.
This card adds NVMe storage to systems that lack an onboard M-Key connector. The upgrade makes sense when the platform has a free PCIe 3.0 lane but no native NVMe support. It will not help if the board already provides a compatible M.2 slot or if the drive uses the SATA protocol.
A 90x32 mm heatsink covers the SSD to dissipate heat during long write sessions. The aluminium spreader keeps temperatures lower than a bare card would, reducing the chance of thermal throttling under continuous workloads. Airflow in the chassis still affects the final result.

The adapter uses a PCIe 3.0 x16 edge connector and is compatible with x16, x8 and x4 slots.
Secure the drive with the mounting screw before closing the case; the board has no retention clip.
Remove dust from the heatsink fins whenever system airflow drops, and replace the pad if it hardens or tears.
