Connects M.2 NVME SSDs in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 sizes to a motherboard via SFF-8611 or SFF-8612 OCuLink using PCIe 4.0 x4
This Fervit adapter connects a single M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD to an Oculink SFF-8611 or SFF-8612 interface. It accepts 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors for internal installation. The unit is designed for PCIe 4.0 x4 operation with a Hyper Kit Storage controller. It does not support SAS or SATA protocols.
The decisive specification is the PCIe 4.0 x4 electrical interface carried over the Oculink connectors. This determines whether the host system can deliver full bandwidth to the installed NVMe drive. The adapter will not function with SAS, Slimline SAS or SATA host connections. Protocol mismatch is the primary compatibility risk.
Installation requires an available internal Oculink port on the mainboard or add-in card and physical clearance for the M.2 module. No driver is needed for the adapter itself. Common issues arise when users attempt to connect SATA-based M.2 drives or SAS equipment, which the converter explicitly cannot support.

The adapter passes a full PCIe 4.0 x4 connection through the Oculink 4x interface, so an M.2 NVME SSD sees the same four-lane bandwidth it would on a native motherboard slot.
No, the Oculink 4x connectors carry PCIe 4.0 x4 signals without down-negotiation, so the drive runs at its rated generation and lane width.
The board accepts 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 M-key NVME drives; each length uses the standard M.2 mounting hole for a retention screw.
