Fervit Slimline SAS SFF8654 4i 38Pin to SFF8654 4i 50cm cable

SKU CH-S65D-NTX31

Connects Slimline SAS SFF8654 4i 38-pin devices with a 50 cm shielded cable for high-bandwidth server storage links

  • Direct SFF8654 4i to 4i link for Slimline SAS server storage
  • High bandwidth transmission keeps RAID controller and drive data stable
  • 50cm compact length optimises internal server chassis wiring
  • Multilayer shielding cuts signal loss, crosstalk and electromagnetic interference
  • Durable server grade build lasts in high density enterprise systems

Server storage interconnect

This Fervit cable provides a direct SFF8654 4i to 4i point-to-point link for Slimline SAS server storage connections. It connects RAID controllers to HDDs and SSDs inside high-density enterprise chassis. The 50cm length keeps internal routing tidy and supports efficient space management. It is built for reliable data communication in demanding server environments.

Sustained signal integrity

Multilayer shielding reduces signal loss, crosstalk and electromagnetic interference during continuous high-bandwidth transmission. This construction maintains stable throughput for RAID arrays and storage workloads over extended periods. The durable server-grade materials resist wear from vibration and thermal cycling in dense systems. Performance remains consistent without degradation under sustained load.

Replaces loose or long assemblies

This cable upgrades from bulky or excess-length interconnects that obstruct airflow and complicate cable management in tight chassis. The jump is worthwhile when consolidating Slimline SAS links into a compact, shielded 50cm run. It is not suited for builds needing longer reach between distant backplanes or external enclosures. Buyers requiring different pin counts or connector types should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the 50cm cable generate noticeable heat or consume extra power when running continuously in a server?

The passive cable draws no power and produces no heat during all‑day operation.

What must already be present in the system for the 38‑pin SFF8654 4i connectors to work?

A RAID controller or backplane with matching SFF8654 4i ports and SAS drives or SSDs to attach.

Will the SFF8654 4i link work alongside older SAS controllers or drives that use different connectors?

Only devices with the same SFF8654 4i interface can connect directly; other SAS generations need adapters.
