  • Tap-to-mute plus gain knob for instant level control
  • 5 mm real-time monitoring with dedicated volume knob
  • Cardioid pattern plus windscreen and shock mount to cut plosives and vibration

Dual XLR and USB Output

The FIFINE Amplitank is a dynamic microphone built for podcasters, streamers and voice-over artists who need both studio-grade XLR connectivity and direct USB convenience. Its cardioid pattern focuses on the speaker while rejecting off-axis sound, and the integrated windscreen softens plosives for cleaner vocals.

Upgrade from USB-Only Mics

Moving to this model adds a balanced XLR path that lowers circuit noise with a signal-to-noise ratio above 75 dB, giving richer dynamics when paired with an interface or mixer. The jump is worth it when you want the flexibility to record straight to a computer via the 8.2 ft USB cable today and expand to external gear tomorrow without replacing the microphone.

Fits Desktop and Studio Setups

On USB power the microphone supplies tap-to-mute, a gain knob, 3.5 mm real-time monitoring and headphone volume control all on the chassis. These controls are active only in USB mode, so XLR users rely on their mixer for gain and monitoring. The metal body and included shock mount suppress low-frequency vibration from desk impacts, keeping the signal clean in either configuration.

Questions about this item

What mounting thread does the FIFINE Amplitank use for a boom arm or stand?

The microphone includes an external shock mount that attaches to standard boom arms or desk stands for vibration isolation.

How do I enable the gain knob and headphone monitoring on this microphone?

Those controls work only over the USB connection; plug the 8.2ft USB cable into a Windows or Mac computer and they become active immediately.

Which parts should I replace if the windscreen wears out or the shock mount loses elasticity?

The included windscreen dampens plosives and the external shock mount isolates low-frequency desk vibration; both can be swapped for standard replacements when they degrade.
