What this charger powers

A 65 watt AC adapter built for a wide range of ThinkPad laptops including X1 Carbon second through fourth generation, X1 Yoga first generation, X series, T series, E series and select G series models. It replaces Lenovo part numbers such as ADP-65FD B and ADLX65NDT3A.

How it fits your setup

The unit accepts 100 to 240 volt input at 50 to 60 hertz for worldwide use and delivers two fixed output profiles: 20 volts at 3.25 amps for 65 watts or 20 volts at 2.25 amps for 45 watts. A yellow square tip with a centre pin connects directly to the laptop’s power jack.

Capacity and headroom

At the 65 watt setting it runs most ultrabooks and mainstream ThinkPads under full load while charging the battery. The 45 watt profile suits lighter models or travel scenarios where a lower draw is preferred. It will not power devices that require higher wattage or a different connector type.
