Connects an HDMI source to a DisplayPort display at up to 3840×2160@60Hz, 2560×1600@144Hz or 1080P@165Hz with 8-channel 24-bit 192kHz audio
This unidirectional adapter converts an HDMI source signal to a DisplayPort input on a monitor, projector, or HDTV. It is designed for laptops, desktops, ultrabooks, Chromebooks, Raspberry Pi boards, and consoles such as Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4, and PS3. A separate DisplayPort cable is required to complete the connection.
The built-in IC chip translates HDMI TMDS signals into DisplayPort digital signals and supports DisplayPort 1.2, HDCP 1.3, 1.4, and 2.2, plus HDMI 2.0 and HBR2. Maximum supported timings are 3840×2160 at 60 Hz, 2560×1600 at 144 Hz, and 1080p at 165 Hz. Audio passes through with up to 8 channels at 192 kHz and 24-bit depth. The adapter cannot improve the native resolution of games.
Plug the HDMI end into the source device and connect a DisplayPort cable from the adapter to the display; no drivers are needed. The converter only works from HDMI source to DisplayPort display, so it will not function in the reverse direction. Ensure the source device outputs a resolution and refresh rate within the listed maximums or the link will not establish.

The adapter can output up to 3840×2160 resolution at 60 frames per second from an HDMI source to a DisplayPort monitor.
It implements DisplayPort 1.2 with HBR2, capping the link at the bandwidth needed for 4K@60Hz, 2560×1600@144Hz or 1080P@165Hz.
You need an HDMI output on the source device, a DisplayPort input on the display and a separate DisplayPort cable to complete the link.
