Bookshelf speaker pair for stereo or surround

The Fluance SX6-BK is a 2.0 passive bookshelf speaker system sold as a matched pair. It is intended for listeners who want accurate music reproduction or immersive home-theater sound from a compact cabinet. An external amplifier or receiver is required because the speakers have no built-in power supply. Buyers who need a self-powered or wireless solution should look elsewhere.

Straightforward wiring with standard terminals

Each cabinet offers 5-way gold-plated binding posts that accept banana plugs, spades or bare wire, so connection is quick and secure. The low-diffraction grilles are magnetically attached and removable for cleaning or grille-off listening. Because the speakers are passive, the only common issue is matching them to an amplifier with adequate current for the intended volume level.

Stable output during extended sessions

The tuned bass-reflex port and Ferro-fluid cooled Neodymium tweeter are designed to dissipate heat and control resonance during long listening periods. Premium crossovers with Butterworth topology and 18 gauge internal wiring maintain consistent signal integrity when the system is driven hard. Cabinet resonance stays low even at higher volumes, preserving imaging and tonal balance over time.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the SX6-BK speakers are performing correctly once connected to an amplifier?

Listen for clear high frequencies from the Neodymium tweeters and controlled bass from the tuned port; the premium Butterworth crossovers should deliver balanced sound without cabinet resonance at normal listening levels.

What comes in the SX6-BK retail package and what must I provide separately?

The box contains the speaker pair with removable magnetic grilles and 5-way gold-plated binding posts; you must supply an external amplifier, speaker wire or banana plugs, and any AV receiver or stereo amp to drive the passive 2.0 system.

Which version of the SX6-BK should I choose for a stereo pair versus a surround setup?

The SX6-BK is sold only as a matched 2.0 bookshelf pair in Black Ash; buy one pair for stereo listening or add additional pairs for front, centre or surround channels in a home theatre system.
