Fluance SX71BR 7.1 Home Theater System

The Fluance SX71BR is a complete 7.1 surround sound speaker system designed for home theater enthusiasts seeking an immersive audio experience. It includes floorstanding towers, a center channel, surround and rear surround speakers, plus a powered 10-inch subwoofer, all timbre-matched for cohesive sound reproduction across every channel.

Passive Setup with Powered Subwoofer

The system uses passive speakers requiring connection to an external AV receiver or amplifier, while the subwoofer features a built-in amplifier needing a wall outlet and LFE cable. Installation involves running speaker wire to seven satellite locations plus a subwoofer cable, so planning cable routes beforehand avoids clutter and ensures correct channel placement.

Room-Filling Sound with Deep Bass

The 10-inch powered subwoofer delivers low-frequency impact for movies and music, while the 3-way towers and matched surrounds handle midrange and high frequencies with silk dome tweeters. The system comfortably fills medium to large rooms with detailed surround effects, though extremely large or open-plan spaces may demand greater output than the provided drivers can sustain.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 7.1 system is performing as intended after setup?

Play a Dolby or DTS test track and verify each of the seven speakers plus the 10" subwoofer produces sound from its correct position with clear highs, articulate midrange and deep bass.

What comes in the box and what must I buy separately?

The package includes two floorstanding towers, a center channel, two surround speakers, two rear-surround speakers and the powered 10" subwoofer; you must supply an AV receiver or amplifier and speaker wire.

Which version of the SX71BR should I choose for a standard home theater?

The SX71BR is offered as a single 7.1 configuration in Black Ash, so no alternative version or capacity selection is needed.
