A 2-port HDMI KVM switch sharing one monitor, keyboard and mouse between two computers at up to 3840x2160 @ 30Hz with 1.2 m cables and a desktop selector
The FOCUSTEC 2-Port HDMI KVM Switch lets you control two computers with a single monitor, keyboard and mouse. It also shares USB peripherals such as speakers, flash drives or printers between both systems. A wired desktop selector provides instant switching without software. Integrated 1.2 m combined HDMI and USB cables reduce cable clutter on the desk.
The unit draws power from the connected computers via USB, so no external power supply is required. It operates silently with no fans or moving parts. Video output supports up to 3840x2160 resolution at 30 Hz, suitable for office work, monitoring or casual media playback. Compatibility spans legacy and current operating systems including DOS, Windows 98 through Windows 8, Linux, Unix and macOS.
Each computer needs an HDMI port and a USB Type-A port for the combined cables. The switch frees up desk space by eliminating a second monitor, keyboard and mouse. Bluetooth keyboards and mice with a USB receiver are also supported. It is not suited for users who need more than two computer ports, higher refresh rates at 4K, or switching of additional video inputs such as DisplayPort.

Plug each cable's HDMI and USB pigtail into the matching ports on one computer, then connect the switch ends to the KVM; the manual stresses inserting the HDMI-with-USB pigtail into the computer side so keyboard and mouse signals route correctly.
The 1.2 m 2-in-1 USB-HDMI cables and the desktop selector button see the most physical wear; cables can develop loose connectors from frequent plugging, and the selector's mechanical switch may degrade over time.
The HDMI output caps at 3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz, so sustained use at that resolution hits the 30 Hz refresh ceiling before any other bandwidth constraint.
