FosPower Deadbolt Banana Plugs

These screwless banana plugs accept speaker wire from 20AWG to 8AWG and come in 12 pairs for multi-channel audio systems. The 24k gold-plated 6-leaf connectors provide corrosion-resistant contact surfaces for reliable signal transfer. Color-coded red and black bases simplify polarity identification during installation. Home-theatre enthusiasts and stereo installers can terminate cables without soldering or special tools.

Closed-Back Design and 6-Leaf Contact

The closed deadbolt housing encloses the stripped wire at the rear, preventing exposed strands from shorting against adjacent terminals. Six gold-plated contact leaves grip the binding post over a wide surface area, reducing the chance of accidental disconnects caused by vibration or cable weight. No thermal, noise or power-draw considerations apply to these passive connectors.

Tool-Free Termination for 20–8 AWG Wire

Strip the conductor, insert it through the rear opening, and twist the 6-leaf tip to lock the wire in place — no screwdriver, crimper or soldering iron required. The package includes 24 individual plugs (12 red, 12 black) ready for immediate use with amplifiers, receivers or speaker cabinets. Buyers who need right-angle plugs or spade terminals will need a different connector style.

Questions about this item

How do I install these deadbolt banana plugs without tools, and what step causes a loose connection?

Strip the speaker wire, insert it through the rear of the plug, then twist the 6-leaf gold plated connector tightly; skipping the final twist leaves the wire unsecured and can cause signal loss.

What maintenance or replacement will these 24k gold plated plugs need over time?

The 24k gold plating resists corrosion, so no routine maintenance is required; only replace a plug if the 6-leaf connector becomes physically damaged or the color-coded base cracks.

What is the first limit I will hit when running high current through these plugs continuously?

The maximum wire gauge accepted is 8AWG, so sustained current is limited by the cross-section of the thickest wire you can terminate in the deadbolt connector.
