Dual Monitor HDMI KVM Switch

This GCROWN KVM switch lets two computers share two HDMI monitors, a keyboard and a mouse. It supports copy mode to duplicate the main screen and expansion mode to extend the desktop across both displays. EDID simulation keeps the display order stable when switching between systems. It is built for users who need simultaneous dual-monitor access to two PCs.

Requires Dual-Display Output on Each Computer

The switch only works when each connected computer natively supports dual or multi-display output. You must select extend or copy mode in the operating system, typically via Windows+P, before the switch can distribute the two video signals. Systems with only a single video output cannot drive both monitors through this device.

USB 3.0 5 Gbps Peripheral Sharing

Four USB 3.0 ports provide 5 Gbps bandwidth for sharing a keyboard, mouse, printer or scanner between the two computers. Switching is handled by physical buttons or a wired remote control. The unit is compatible with Windows 11, 10, Vista, Linux and Unix; MacBooks are not recommended because they require extra adapters.

Questions about this item

What does 4K at 60 Hz mean when the switch is connected to my dual-monitor setup?

Each monitor can display 4K resolution at 60 Hz, provided both computers and both displays support that mode.

How does the HDMI 2.0 interface limit refresh rates at lower resolutions?

The HDMI 2.0 link caps 4K at 60 Hz and allows 2K at up to 144 Hz when the source and monitor negotiate that timing.

What physical space and connections are needed to install this KVM switch?

The unit needs a flat surface near two computers and two HDMI monitors, plus USB cables for keyboard, mouse and up to two extra USB 3.0 peripherals.
