What the GL-82 records and who uses it

The Geili GL-82 is a compact digital voice recorder with 8 GB of internal storage. It captures audio in WAV at up to 3072 kbps or MP3 at 192 kbps. The intelligent noise-reduction chip and dual microphones pick up sound from 360 degrees. Voice-activated and timed recording modes suit students, journalists and professionals who need hands-free capture.

Capacity, bit-rates and practical limits

The 8 GB memory holds roughly 24 hours of recording at the highest WAV setting. Lower bit-rates such as 1536 kbps, 1024 kbps or 512 kbps extend that time proportionally. MP3 options at 128 kbps or 32 kbps provide many more hours. When the battery runs low the device auto-saves the current file to prevent loss.

Build integration and daily operation

A Micro-USB port handles both charging and file transfer to a computer. The metal case measures 4.17 by 0.97 by 0.29 inches and weighs 1.62 oz, so it slips into a pocket or bag. One-button recording, encryption, segment recording and a built-in speaker for immediate playback keep the workflow simple without extra accessories.

Questions about this item

Will the GL-82 connect to my older laptop that only has USB-A ports?

The recorder uses a Micro-USB interface, so the included cable plugs directly into any standard USB-A port on an older laptop.

How can I confirm the device is recording at the full 3072 kbps WAV setting after I set it up?

Make a short test recording, transfer the file via the Micro-USB cable, and check the file properties on your computer; they will show a 3072 kbps bit-rate for WAV.

Does the box include headphones or a memory card, or do I need to buy them separately?

The package contains only the recorder and a USB cable; there are no headphones and no removable memory card slot, so nothing extra is required for basic operation.
