Rugged tablet for field work

The Getac K120 is a new rugged tablet built to MIL-STD-810G and IP65 standards, surviving 1.8 m drops and vibration. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i7 8550U processor with a base frequency of 1.80 GHz and turbo up to 4 GHz, supported by 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD.

Suited for mobile professionals needing durability

This unit serves workers in utilities, logistics or public safety who require a sunlight-readable 12.5" IPS touchscreen at 1920 x 1080 with 1200 nits brightness and LumiBond technology. It also provides Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 5, optional 4G LTE and a full set of ports including USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, Type-C and HDMI. Buyers who need a larger display, higher storage capacity or a lighter consumer-grade device should consider other form factors.

16 GB DDR4 soldered memory decides upgrade path

The system memory is fixed at 16 GB of DDR4 SDRAM and cannot be expanded after purchase. Verify that this capacity meets your application requirements before ordering, as no additional SO-DIMM slots are available on this platform.

Questions about this item

What operating system must already be licensed for the Windows 11 Pro installation to activate?

Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and will activate with the licence embedded in the tablet's firmware; no separate OS purchase is required.

Can the single USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port drive a legacy USB 2.0 barcode scanner without an adapter?

Yes, the Type-C port is backward-compatible with USB 2.0 devices when used with a standard Type-C to Type-A cable or hub.

How can I verify the 1200-nit LumiBond display is reaching its rated brightness after setup?

Use a calibrated light meter on a full-white test pattern at maximum brightness in a dark room; the reading should approach 1200 nits.
