Adds hardware-based TPM 2.0 security via an SPI module using an Infineon SLB9672 controller
The GIGABYTE CTM012 adds a TPM 2.0 header key to compatible server motherboards. It uses an Infineon SLB9672VU2.0 controller for hardware-based security functions. System builders integrating trusted-platform features into rack or tower servers will use this module.
The module communicates over a Serial Peripheral Interface through a 2 x 7 pin header. Physical size is 20.32 x 14.73 mm, so the board must expose a matching header with adequate clearance. Boards lacking this exact pinout or SPI support cannot use the accessory.
The small footprint allows installation in dense server chassis without obstructing adjacent components. A standard 2 x 7 pin connector secures the module directly to the motherboard. No cables or brackets are required, simplifying deployment in rack environments.

The CTM012 uses a 2 x 7 pin SPI connector measuring 20.32 x 14.73 mm, so it fits headers with that exact pinout and footprint.
It adds a hardware root of trust based on the Infineon SLB9672VU2.0 controller, enabling measured boot, disk encryption key storage and firmware integrity checks.
SPI runs at lower throughput than LPC, so the CTM012 handles key generation and attestation tasks but is not suited for high-volume cryptographic streaming.
