TPM 2.0 module with Infineon SLB9665 IC and 13-pin connector for server motherboards
The ASRock Rack TPM2-SLI adds a discrete Trusted Platform Module to compatible server motherboards. It uses the Infineon SLB9665 controller and connects through a 13-pin header. The module measures 31.5mm by 19mm by 5.7mm.
The Infineon SLB9665 defends against fault injection, physical tampering, side-channel analysis, differential fault analysis, RNG manipulation, sensor and test-mode exploits, and dictionary attacks. Low standby power consumption helps meet platform power budgets.
The module follows the TCG PC Client Platform TPM Profile (PTP) Family 2.0 and TIS version 1.3 specifications. It supports Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 BitLocker on X299, AM4 and newer platform motherboards.

The module is a soldered hardware security chip with no user-serviceable parts; firmware updates, if ever released by the platform vendor, are applied through the motherboard BIOS and do not require removing the 13-pin accessory.
The Infineon SLB9665 draws very low standby power and has no active cooling; its operational ceiling is the motherboard's 13-pin header current budget, which is typically far above the module's milliwatt-level draw.
The accessory has no moving parts and consumes minimal power, so it produces no audible noise and adds negligible heat to the system thermal load.
