Single-socket workstation board with quad-channel DDR5 4800, four PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, eight SATA 6.0Gb/s ports and dual 2.5GbE LAN
The GIGABYTE MW53-HP0 is a server motherboard built around the Intel W790 chipset and the LGA 4677 socket. It accepts one Xeon W-3500, W-3400, W-2500 or W-2400 processor with a thermal design power up to 385 W. Eight DDR5 288-pin slots provide quad-channel memory at 4800 MT/s, supporting registered DIMMs up to 2 TB total capacity.
Four full-length PCIe 5.0 x16 slots wired from the CPU make the board suitable for workloads that need several accelerators or high-bandwidth add-in cards. Three M.2 slots with PCIe Gen4 x4 and eight SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports with RAID 0, 1, 10 and 5 give dense local storage. Builders who need two processors or more than eight memory channels must choose a different platform.
The quad-channel DDR5 subsystem and four CPU-attached PCIe 5.0 x16 links maintain bandwidth during extended compute or data-movement tasks. Dual 2.5 GbE ports from the Intel I226-LM controller sustain network I/O without the short-burst peaks seen on single-port designs. The Aspeed AST2600 management controller and Realtek ALC897 audio remain active throughout long-running jobs.
