64 GB SDXC card for Full HD video

The Gigastone 64 GB SDXC card carries a UHS-I, U1 and Class 10 rating with a maximum read speed of 80 MB/s and a write speed of 40 MB/s. It is built for Full HD video capture on DSLRs, camcorders and point-and-shoot cameras. The card is waterproof, temperature-proof, shock-proof, x-ray-proof and magnetic-proof.

Suited for Full HD cameras.

Photographers and videographers recording Full HD footage will find the speed class adequate. Users who need sustained write speeds for 4K video, high-resolution raw bursts or professional cinema codecs should look at cards with higher video speed classes. The 64 GB capacity also limits extended 4K sessions.

Simple plug-in install; check device SDXC support

Insert the card into any SDXC-compatible slot and format it in the camera before first use. The most common issue is trying to use the card in older hosts that only accept SDHC, which cannot address 64 GB. Write-protection tab misalignment can also prevent recording.

Questions about this item

Does my camera need an SDXC slot to use this 64GB card?

Yes, the card is SDXC format, so the host device must support SDXC cards to recognise the full 64GB capacity.

Will this UHS-I U1 card work reliably in an older camera that only supports Class 10?

The card carries both U1 and Class 10 ratings, so it will fall back to Class 10 speeds in a non-UHS host while still storing Full HD video.

How can I confirm the card is delivering its rated 80MB/s read performance after setup?

Run a benchmark tool such as CrystalDiskMark or Blackmagic Disk Speed Test on a PC; sustained sequential read results near 80 MB/s show the card is operating as specified.
