16GB SDHC card for Full HD capture

This Gigastone 16GB SDHC card uses a UHS-I interface with Class 10 and U1 speed ratings. It delivers read speeds up to 80MB/s for smooth Full HD video recording and fast photo bursts. The full-size form factor fits standard SD slots in cameras and readers.

Suits casual shooters.

Photographers and videographers capturing Full HD footage or JPEG stills will find the speed class adequate. Buyers who need sustained write performance for 4K recording or professional video bitrates should look at cards with higher video speed class ratings.

UHS-I Class 10 / U1 speed grade decides fit

The single specification that determines suitability is the Class 10 and U1 rating, which guarantees a minimum sequential write speed for Full HD work. If your device or workflow demands a faster minimum write tier, this card will not meet that threshold.

Questions about this item

How often will the 16GB SDHC card need replacement under normal use?

The card is built with waterproof, temperature-proof, x-ray-proof, shock-proof and magnetic-proof construction and carries a five-year limited warranty, so replacement is rarely needed unless the card is physically damaged or reaches its write-cycle limit after very heavy use.

What speed limit appears first during continuous Full HD recording on this U1 Class 10 card?

The U1 rating guarantees a minimum sustained write speed of 10 MB/s, which is the bottleneck for long Full HD video clips; the quoted 80 MB/s figure applies only to burst read performance.

Does the card run hot or draw extra power during all-day shooting?

SDHC cards consume very little power and generate negligible heat even during extended recording sessions, so temperature and battery impact are not a concern with this model.
