4 TB SATA III 3D NAND SSD

The Gigastone Game Turbo 4 TB internal SSD uses a SATA III interface and 3D NAND flash to deliver sequential reads up to 520 MB/s and writes up to 480 MB/s. It is built for consumers who want a high-capacity solid-state replacement for a mechanical hard drive in a desktop, laptop or compatible console.

2.5 inch 7 mm form factor fits standard drive bays

The 2.5 inch 7 mm (.28 in) design slides into ordinary SATA drive bays and ultra-slim notebooks without adapters. A SATA data cable and power connection from the host system are all that is required, freeing up an M.2 slot for other expansion cards or a boot drive.

5 year limited warranty and broad OS support

The drive carries a 5 year limited warranty and is rated for 2000 TB written with an MTBF of 1500000 hours. Supported operating systems include Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Apple Mac OS 10.x and later, and Android 4.4 and later with an OTG adapter.

Questions about this item

How much data can the Gigastone Game Turbo 4TB SSD write before its rated endurance is reached?

The drive is rated for 2000TB of total bytes written, which is the endurance limit that appears first under sustained heavy workloads.

Does the drive generate noticeable heat or noise when running continuously all day?

The supplier lists shock resistance, vibration resistance and quiet operation as features, and the drive has no heatsink, indicating low heat and silent running during extended use.

What interface must the host system provide for this 2.5-inch SSD to function?

The system needs a SATA III 6Gb/s port; the drive uses the standard 2.5-inch 7mm form factor that fits laptops, desktops and ultra-slim notebooks.
