Two-Pack 30 cm Cat 5 Extension Cables

This pack contains two Global Bargains Cat 5 Ethernet cables, each 30 cm long with RJ45 male-to-female connectors. They are designed to extend an existing network cable run by a short distance. The black plastic construction keeps the cables lightweight at 58 g total for the pair. They suit home and office broadband connections where a little extra reach is needed.

For Short Reach Extensions Only

These cables work for anyone needing to bridge a small gap between a wall jack and a device or to join two shorter cables together. They are not suited for runs longer than 30 cm, for permanent in-wall installations, or for situations that require a solid-core cable. Buyers who need more length or a different cable category should look at other options.

Cat 5 Crossover Wiring

The single specification that decides compatibility is the Cat 5 crossover wiring. This pin-out differs from a standard straight-through patch cable, so the extender will only function correctly in links that expect a crossover configuration. Verify that your equipment requires this wiring before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Will the 30 cm Cat 5 crossover extension work with my existing Cat 5 cabling?

The cable is a Cat 5 crossover type with RJ45 male-to-female connectors, so it plugs directly into your current Cat 5 run and extends it by 30 cm.

How can I verify the link is running correctly after I plug it in?

Check that the network LED on the connected device lights up and run a speed test; a stable connection at your plan’s rated speed confirms the extension is working.

What comes in the pack and do I need any extra parts?

The box contains 2 black RJ45 male-to-female crossover cables, each 30 cm long and weighing 58 g total; no additional couplers or tools are required.
