Add a 2.5 inch U.2 NVMe SSD to a desktop or server via a PCIe 4.0 x4 slot for 64 Gbps speeds
This GLOTRENDS adapter lets you install a 2.5 inch U.2 NVMe SSD into a desktop or server via a PCIe 4.0 X4 slot. It delivers up to 64Gbps bandwidth when paired with a PCIe 4.0 CPU and motherboard, preserving full drive speed. The card fits standard X4, X8, or X16 slots and includes a full-profile bracket for ATX cases. It supports OS booting on compatible UEFI systems.
Builders adding high-capacity U.2 storage to PCIe 4.0 platforms (Intel 11th Gen or Ryzen 5000 and above) will get native performance. It works with Windows 11/10/8 and Linux but not Windows 7. Buyers with slim or 2U chassis cannot install this full-height card. Systems limited to PCIe 3.0 or 2.0 will operate at reduced speeds, and older motherboards may not support booting from the drive.
Your CPU and motherboard must both provide PCIe 4.0 X4 electrical lanes to reach the 64Gbps ceiling; Intel CPUs below 11th generation do not support PCIe 4.0. The board needs a free X4, X8, or X16 slot and a case tall enough for a full-profile bracket.

The card is a passive PCIe 4.0 x4 adapter with no fan or onboard controller, so it adds no active cooling and draws only the power the SSD itself requires.
You need a free PCIe x4, x8 or x16 slot and an Intel 11th-generation or Ryzen 5000-series CPU (or newer) to reach the full 64 Gbps link.
The included bracket is full-profile only, so it will not fit 2U or slim cases, and some older motherboards cannot boot from the U.2 drive even if the card fits.
