Lightning iPhone microphone kit

The Godox WES 1 Kit1 is a 2.4 GHz wireless microphone system built for Apple iPhone models with a Lightning port. It targets vloggers, streamers and mobile journalists who need cable-free audio capture without carrying a separate recorder.

Plug-and-play receiver with noise modes

The Lightning receiver weighs 7 g and draws power from the phone, while the 12 g transmitter runs up to 8 hours per charge. Users can switch between strong and weak noise-reduction settings to match indoor or outdoor environments.

Check iPhone port and recording distance

Confirm the iPhone uses a Lightning connector rather than USB-C before purchase. The 200 m line-of-sight range assumes open space; walls or crowds will reduce reliable distance.

Questions about this item

Does the 12 g transmitter battery need replacing after a certain number of charge cycles?

The built-in battery delivers up to 8 hours per charge and is not user-replaceable; when runtime drops noticeably the whole transmitter would need service.

Will the 2.4 GHz link or the 110 dB SPL limit be reached first during a loud, all-day outdoor shoot?

The 110 dB SPL ceiling on the microphone capsule is reached before the 200 m wireless range becomes a factor in typical use.

How warm does the 7 g Lightning receiver get when powered continuously from an iPhone for 8 hours?

The receiver draws minimal current and stays barely warm to the touch even after a full 8-hour session.
