1TB USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive

The GoHardDrive HD250U3 is a 1TB portable external hard drive in a 2.5-inch form factor. It connects via a USB 3.0 interface and comes pre-formatted for Mac OS. The slim aluminium chassis houses a 5400 RPM drive with 8MB cache and draws power directly from the USB bus.

Mac users needing plug-and-play storage

This drive suits Mac owners who want immediate extra capacity without reformatting. It also works with Windows PCs, PS4 and Xbox One consoles via USB 3.0 or 2.0 ports. Users who need faster SSD speeds, larger capacities, or a drive formatted for Windows out of the box should consider other options.

Pre-formatted for Mac OS

The drive arrives formatted for Mac OS, so it is ready to use on macOS without Disk Utility. Windows users must reformat the drive to NTFS or exFAT before storing data. This single formatting detail determines whether the drive works instantly or requires a setup step.
