Mac-formatted portable storage

The GoHardDrive HD250U3-Z1-1TB-MAC is a 1TB portable hard drive that ships pre-formatted for macOS. It draws power from the USB connection and requires no separate power adapter. The drive connects via USB 3.0 and is also compatible with USB 2.0 ports.

For Mac users who want instant extra space

This drive suits anyone who needs a lightweight, bus-powered way to add 1TB of storage to a MacBook, iMac or Mac Pro without reformatting. It is not suited to users who need solid-state speeds, hardware encryption or a ruggedised chassis for harsh environments.

USB 3.0 interface with SATA internal

The drive uses a SATA hard drive inside a USB 3.0 enclosure, delivering up to 5.0 Gbps interface bandwidth. That connection type determines whether the drive will work at full speed on your Mac's ports.
