Eight-Speaker In-Ceiling Set

The Acoustic Audio CSic64 pack supplies eight frameless flush-mount speakers for whole-home audio or multi-room home-theatre layouts. Each unit uses a three-way passive design with a 6.5" poly cone woofer, Mylar midrange and 0.5" Mylar tweeter. The set suits owners who want discreet ceiling integration without visible frames.

Passive Amplifier Limits

Speakers require a receiver or amplifier with raw speaker wire outputs delivering between 10 and 250 watts per channel into 8 ohms. Frequency response spans 45 Hz to 20 kHz at 92 dB sensitivity. No internal amplification or wireless connectivity is present, so an external power source is mandatory.

Pressure Lock Installation

The Pressure Lock Mounting System clamps each speaker to drywall through an 8.27" round cut-out with 2.99" mounting depth; no separate hardware is needed. Spring-loaded terminals accept bare wire, and magnetic paintable grilles attach after the speaker is secured. Cutting accurate holes and fishing CL3-rated wire through joists are the typical difficulties.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the four-pair pack or look for single pairs of the CSic64?

The four-pair pack gives you eight identical speakers for whole-home coverage or a full surround system in one box.

What does the 92 dB sensitivity mean when the speakers are driven by my receiver?

At 92 dB the CSic64 plays loudly with modest amplifier power, so a typical 50–100 watt receiver will fill a room without strain.

How does the 8-ohm nominal impedance affect the amplifier I can use?

The 8-ohm load is easy for almost any home theatre receiver or stereo amp rated from 10 to 250 watts per channel.
