Three-Speaker Home Theater Set

The Acoustic Audio CSic84 is a three-piece in-ceiling speaker set built for home theater front channels. It combines a centre channel with matching left and right speakers for balanced front-stage sound. The frameless design suits installations where a clean ceiling line matters. Passive operation means any receiver or amplifier with bare-wire outputs can drive the system.

Power and Mounting Limits

Each speaker handles between 10 and 350 watts from the connected amplifier. Frequency response spans 40 Hz to 20 kHz at 95 dB sensitivity with an 8 ohm load. Installation requires a 10.16 inch round cut-out and 4.06 inch mounting depth behind the ceiling. The Pressure Lock clamps secure the 10.94 inch overall frame without separate hardware. Spring-loaded terminals accept raw speaker wire only.

Upgrade From Basic In-Ceiling Pairs

This set replaces two-speaker stereo layouts when a dedicated centre channel is needed for dialogue clarity in movies and TV. The 3-way woofer, midrange and tweeter array improves separation over typical 2-way ceiling models. Paintable magnetic grilles allow the visible edge to match any ceiling colour. Buyers who want more than three zones or require active built-in amplification should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the single centre channel or the three-speaker set with front left and right?

The product is supplied as a three-speaker set that includes a centre channel plus front left and right speakers for a home-theatre layout.

What does the 95 dB sensitivity at 8 ohms mean when the speakers are driven by my receiver?

At 95 dB sensitivity the speakers play loudly with modest amplifier power, so a receiver rated between 10 and 350 watts will drive them cleanly to reference levels.

My receiver has standard raw speaker wire outputs — will that work with the spring-loaded terminals on these speakers?

Yes, the spring-loaded raw wire connections accept bare speaker wire from any home audio receiver or amplifier with speaker-level outputs.
