Three flush-mount passive subwoofers

The Acoustic Audio HD-S10 set provides three 10-inch in-wall passive subwoofers designed for home theatre and surround sound systems. Each unit uses a woven fibre cone with butyl rubber surround and mounts flush to the wall using a Pressure Lock system that clamps to drywall without hardware. A separate sub amplifier is required for every subwoofer.

Installers wanting invisible bass

These suit builders who want low-profile bass hidden inside standard 10.6-inch square cut-outs with 3.54-inch mounting depth. They do not suit buyers who need a powered subwoofer with its own amplifier, nor rooms where in-wall wiring cannot be run. Each passive unit demands a dedicated sub amp such as the Goldwood WS1005 or SA200 and CL3-rated speaker wire.

The quoted 26 to 200 Hz range at 98 dB sensitivity and 8 ohms determines whether the subwoofers reach the low-end extension your system requires. If your content demands output below 26 Hz or above 200 Hz from the sub channel, this specification indicates the limits of what the three drivers can reproduce.
