Sixteen frameless in-ceiling speakers

The Acoustic Audio R192 set delivers sixteen 2-way passive speakers for distributed home audio. Each unit uses a 5.25-inch poly cone woofer and a 0.5-inch Mylar tweeter to cover 45 Hz to 22 kHz at 95 dB sensitivity. Paintable magnetic grilles create a frameless look once installed.

Pressure Lock mounting needs only a 7.01-inch

Spring-loaded wire terminals accept raw speaker cable from any receiver or amplifier supplying 10 to 200 watts per channel. The 2.95-inch mounting depth fits standard ceiling cavities, and the clamp system secures to drywall without extra hardware. CL3-rated in-wall wire completes the connection.

Ideal for whole-house background music

Builders wanting a single stereo pair or powered speakers should look elsewhere. The sixteen-unit count and fixed 8-ohm passive design suit multi-room installs driven by a central amplifier, not compact desktop or portable use.

Questions about this item

At what amplifier power does the speaker reach its thermal limit?

The speakers handle 10 to 200 watts per channel; sustained output above 200 watts risks overheating the 5.25" woofers and .5" tweeters.

How much heat and noise does the set produce when driven all day?

Passive design adds no fan noise; heat stays within the 2.95" mounting depth and the 95 dB sensitivity keeps amplifier current moderate.

What amplifier and wiring must I already own to install the sixteen speakers?

A home audio receiver or amplifier with raw speaker wire outputs rated 10–200 watts per channel, plus CL3-rated in-wall speaker wire for each run.
