Cable Specifications

The golf one Cat8 Ethernet cable runs 66 ft with a black PVC jacket and 26 AWG conductors. Shielded S/FTP construction uses foil around each twisted pair plus an overall foil layer. Two 24K gold-plated RJ45 connectors terminate the cable for standard gigabit and multi-gigabit ports.

Ideal Use Cases

Suited for installers who need a single long run that meets Cat8 bandwidth of 2000 MHz and 40 Gbps. The UV-resistant jacket allows outdoor routing alongside indoor patching. Buyers who need shorter patch cords, unshielded cable, or a different wire gauge should look at other listings.

Deciding Specification

The 26 AWG conductor thickness sets the cable apart from thinner 32 AWG alternatives and determines both mechanical strength and insertion-loss performance on 66 ft runs.

Questions about this item

What conduit or cable tray size accommodates the 26AWG S/FTP jacket on this 66 ft Cat8 run?

The 26AWG construction with PVC jacket and overall foil shield fits standard ¾ in. conduit; allow extra radius at bends because the double shield adds stiffness compared with 32AWG cables.

How do I seat the gold-plated RJ45 plugs so the 40Gbps link trains at 2000MHz without retries?

Push each connector until the tab clicks fully into the port; the 24K gold contacts need full insertion to maintain the shield continuity that the S/FTP design relies on for alien-crosstalk rejection.

When should I plan to replace this outdoor-rated Cat8 cable after prolonged UV exposure?

The UV-resistant PVC jacket is rated for continuous outdoor use; inspect annually for jacket cracking or water ingress at the connectors and replace only if physical damage appears.
