Two-camera battery kit

This Google Nest Cam 1080p Battery 2-pack delivers wire-free HD surveillance for indoor or outdoor use. Each camera streams 1920 x 1080 video at 30 fps with a 130° diagonal field of view. Built-in microphones and speakers enable two-way talk through the Google Home app. Night vision reaches up to 20 feet or 6.1 metres in low light.

Suits homes wanting flexible placement without

Renters and homeowners who need quick, tool-free mounting on walls, fences or shelves will benefit from the battery design and dual-band 2.4 / 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi. The system alerts for people, animals and vehicles and offers three hours of free event history. Buyers who require continuous recording, local storage without a subscription, or compatibility with the legacy Nest app should look elsewhere.

Battery-powered wire-free operation

The defining specification is that each camera runs on an internal rechargeable battery, removing the need for power cables or nearby outlets. This allows placement anywhere within Wi-Fi range but means the cameras cannot record continuously without optional wired accessories. Video is stored in the cloud and managed exclusively through the Google Home app with a free Google Account.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the single camera or the 2-pack for my setup?

The 2-pack includes two identical battery cameras, so you can cover both a front entrance and a back garden without buying a second kit.

What does the 1080p at 30 fps figure mean for daily viewing?

You get smooth 1920 x 1080 video at 30 frames per second, letting you recognise faces and read licence plates clearly in the Google Home app.

Will the 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi on 2.4 and 5.0 GHz limit my stream quality?

The camera connects on either 2.4 or 5.0 GHz bands using 802.11b/g/n, which provides enough bandwidth for the 1080p 30 fps stream without capping resolution.
