The Grandstream GWN7701PA is an unmanaged switch with sixteen Gigabit RJ45 ports and eight PoE+ outputs. It targets small-to-medium businesses and home offices that need a simple, plug-and-play way to power cameras, access points or VoIP phones over Ethernet. The metal chassis supports desktop or rack-mount installation.

Upgrade from Non-PoE or Fewer Ports

This model replaces a basic unmanaged switch that lacks PoE or offers fewer than sixteen ports. The jump is worth it when you must supply up to 30 W per port on eight ports simultaneously without configuring VLANs, QoS or management software. Green technology reduces idle power draw.

Eight PoE+ Ports and 1000 Mbps Throughput

The switch handles eight PoE+ devices at 30 W each while maintaining 1000 Mbps line-rate throughput across all sixteen ports. Broadcast storm control is fixed at 100 Mbps to protect the fabric. It runs out of PoE budget if more than eight powered devices are connected or if total draw exceeds the internal supply.
