  • Gold-plated RJ45 connectors ensure fast, reliable data transfers
  • Flat braided design reduces cable clutter and saves space
  • Backwards compatible with Cat 7, Cat 6 and Cat 5 networks
  • 6 ft length suits modem, router, PC or gaming setups

Ready-to-install Cat 8 patch cord

This flat, nylon-braided cable carries Category 8 certification and ships with gold-plated RJ45 connectors on both ends. At 6.6 ft it links a modem, router, PC, console, printer or smart-TV directly to a wall jack or switch. The shielded SFTP construction supports up to 40 Gbps and 2000 MHz bandwidth for 4K streaming and large file transfers.

Buyers who need a short, tidy run for high-speed LAN

The flat profile reduces clutter under carpets or along baseboards and the braided jacket resists kinking during routing. Backward compatibility with Cat 7, Cat 6 and Cat 5 equipment means existing gear works without adapters. Installations that require in-wall fire ratings, outdoor burial or lengths beyond 6.6 ft should select a different cable type.

Category 8 rating of 40 Gbps at 2000 MHz

This single figure defines the maximum data rate and frequency the cable is built to deliver. If your network hardware operates at or below that ceiling the cord will not be the bottleneck.

Questions about this item

Does the flat braided Cat 8 cable generate heat or noise when running at 40Gbps all day?

The cable is passive with no active components, so it produces no noise and negligible heat even at the full 40Gbps 2000MHz rating.

What devices must I already own to use the RJ45 connectors on this 6.6 ft cable?

Any device with a standard RJ45 port — router, modem, PC, laptop, printer, TV or gaming console — will connect directly.

Will this Cat 8 patch cord work reliably with my older Cat 6 wall jacks and Cat 5e router ports?

Yes, the cable is backwards compatible with Cat 7, Cat 6 and Cat 5, so it will negotiate the highest speed both ends support.
