Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter

This adapter connects a computer with a Mini DisplayPort or Thunderbolt 2 port to a VGA monitor, projector or HDTV. It supports video resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 and 1080p Full HD. The gold-plated male Mini DisplayPort connector plugs directly into the source device, while a separate VGA cable completes the link to the display. No audio signal is transmitted.

Plug-and-Play Installation

The adapter requires no drivers or external power; simply insert the Mini DisplayPort end into the host and attach a VGA cable to the female port. A low-profile housing prevents the connector from blocking neighbouring ports, and a moulded strain-relief joint protects the cable entry. The most common issue is attempting to use the adapter with a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port, which is not supported.

Verify that your laptop, desktop or tablet provides a Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt 2) output; the adapter will not fit USB-C, Thunderbolt 3 or standard DisplayPort sockets.
