Converts a 15-pin SATA power connector to a 4-pin Molex female for legacy drives
Pack 3 packs
This three-pack converts a 15pin SATA male connector into a 4pin Molex female connector so older 3.5 inch hard disks and optical drives can draw power from a modern supply. Each cable uses 18AWG copper conductors and measures 20cm in length.
The adaptors remove the need for Molex Y-splitters when a power supply has spare SATA plugs but insufficient 4pin leads. The jump is worth it when adding a legacy DVD-RW or mechanical drive to a chassis that only exposes SATA power outputs.
Verify that the target device uses a standard 4pin Molex socket and that the 20cm reach spans the gap between the SATA plug and the drive bay. Ensure the power supply provides a 15pin SATA male lead with enough slack for routing.

Other versions of this model
Yes, the 15pin SATA male end plugs directly into the standard power port on a 3.5 inch SATA hard drive or optical drive.
No tools are required; the 4pin Molex female connector pushes onto the power supply's male Molex plug until it clicks, but take care to align the chamfered corners so the pins do not bend.
The 18AWG copper conductors are rated for the current drawn by 3.5 inch SATA drives and do not have a scheduled replacement interval; inspect the connectors only if you notice intermittent power.
