A 2 MP indoor dome camera with a 2.8 mm fixed lens delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution over cable up to 500 m
This Hanwha Techwin indoor dome camera captures Full HD video at 1920 x 1080 resolution using a CMOS sensor and a fixed 2.8 mm lens. It connects via coaxial cable and supports Day & Night switching with an ICR filter and 120dB WDR for high-contrast scenes. The unit is designed for ceiling or wall mounting in indoor environments.
It suits installers needing a cost-effective analog HD camera for general indoor surveillance where a 2.8 mm wide-angle view covers the required area. Buyers who need motorised varifocal lenses, built-in IR illumination, or IP network connectivity should look at other models. The fixed focal length also limits flexibility if the field of view must be adjusted after installation.
The transmission distance maximum of 500 m over coaxial cable determines whether existing cable runs can support the camera without repeaters. If the distance between the camera location and the recorder exceeds this figure, a different transmission method or additional equipment will be required.

The camera mounts on a ceiling or wall and requires a coaxial cable run back to the recorder.
Fix the base, connect the video cable and power, then adjust the dome angle before tightening the locking ring — many forget to aim the lens first.
Clean the dome cover periodically to keep the 1920 x 1080 image clear; the day/night ICR mechanism is sealed and requires no user service.
